Industrial Technician
Industrial Technician / General Utility – Be the Backbone of a World-Class Manufacturing Team
Hanover, PA | Full-Time | Hands-On, High-Impact Role

If so, CAM Innovation is looking for a versatile and motivated Industrial Technician / General Utility Worker to join our growing manufacturing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop a well-rounded skill set in manufacturing operations. Whether it’s assembly, painting, shipping, driving, or general upkeep—you’ll be a vital part of our day-to-day success.
What You’ll Do:
- As a General Utility Technician, you’ll wear many hats to support our production process, including:
- Assembling components using a variety of hand and power tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, battery-powered tools, air tools, etc.)
- Painting and finishing products using equipment such as paint guns, sanders, and sandblasters
- Packing, staging, and shipping products and materials
- Material handling using hand trucks, carts, and forklifts
- Running errands like delivering or picking up parts from local vendors
- General maintenance and cleanup to keep the shop organized and efficient
- Assisting other departments as needed, including machine building, shipping, inventory, and facilities support
You’ll work with our experienced team to deliver high-quality products to customers in the railroad,
mining, automotive, renewable energy, and aerospace industries.
What You Bring:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for most of the day
- Willingness to use hand and power tools
- A self-starter attitude—you’ll thrive in this role if you’re proactive and dependable
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Forklift experience (OSHA certification a plus)
- A valid driver’s license (for local parts pickups and deliveries)

What You’ll Do:
As a Machine Builder/Assembler, you’ll:
- Assemble complex machinery and components using technical drawings, schematics, and verbal direction.
- Use tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, air tools, and gauges with precision and care.
- Install and level large mechanical assemblies with overhead cranes and manual tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues during build and test phases.
- Travel to customer sites (domestic and international) to install, test, and train clients on their new equipment.
- Contribute to CAM’s team environment and take pride in your craftsmanship.
What You Bring:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in machinery assembly or a closely related field.
- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Solid math and computer skills, including basic Microsoft Office use.
- Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.
Preferred:
- Electrical assembly experience (wiring machines using schematics).
- Painting experience.
- Familiarity with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.

What You’ll Do
- As a Machinist at CAM Innovation, you will:
- Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, grinders, mills, etc.)
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to produce precise, custom parts
- Define machining sequences, set feeds/speeds, and select proper tools and fixtures
- Inspect your own work against specifications and drawings before handoff
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
What You Bring
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in machining or a closely related role
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and inspection tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong math, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and stand for long periods
- Availability for occasional overtime (evenings/weekends/holidays)
Preferred:
- CNC and Mastercam programming experience (Haas controls a plus)
- OSHA forklift certification
- Experience with semi-automated machine programming
