Rotor Coil Wet Winding System
Automatic, Consistent Epoxy Application with Tight, Perfect Wire Layers
The Rotor Coil Winding System (RCWS) automatically controls winding tension while applying just the right amount of epoxy to ensure complete, consistent coverage of the copper wire is only part of what this machine does. The epoxy is in a closed pressure vessel so it is not exposed to ambient air or air borne contaminants in the container.
A measured back bend is induced to the wire to make it lay flat as it is precisely and tightly wound by the machine’s traversing mechanism. The result is perfectly coated, straight, consistent winding layers with minimal operator intervention and no hammering!
Rotor Coil Winding Machine FEATURES

Easy Load Safety Chucks
The dereeler shaft is supported in easy to load safety chucks. When in the home position, the top half slides back so the shaft with the wire spool drops easily into the chucks. The chucks only open in the HOME position so they are very safe to load with a crane.

Extruded Consistency
The system extrudes epoxy through a small tubular die under pressure.
Flat, Tight Layers Back bending of the wire, so that it lies flat and straight, is pre-formed as part of the closed loop tension control system.
Optimum Tension Control Automatic constant tension control maintains a constant tension as wire velocity changes. Brake torque is PLC controlled to maintain equilibrium.

AC Vector Drive Winder
It has a heavy-duty welded frame, gearbox, gear belt and spindle in bearings. It can rotate in either direction. Operator’s controls are on a swing arm that can be easily adjusted for his comfort. There is a safety floor mat between the traversing unit and the winder. When the operator steps on this mat the winder speed is limited to 3 RPM.

Touch Screen Control
Automatic tension control is set on a touch screen control console. Recipes for multiple coil types can be run and monitored easily.

Easy, Automatic Operation
The operator places the 5-gallon epoxy can in the pressure tank and inserts a die in the applicator. Operator threads the machine, selects a recipe from the touch screen interface and presses the start button. The operator does not have to ladle the epoxy as it is applied automatically at a controlled rate.
